Knitting
Today I want to talk about a craft I learned from my grandma when I was about 8 years old. My grandma was always working on some sort of handicraft when I was little but what interested me the most was knitting and crocheting.
After she taught me how to knit, the next day I made a little sweater for my Barbie. It didn't look very good but it wasn't terrible either, considering it was my first project. She later taught me how to crochet and I have not stopped knitting and crocheting ever since.I could spend a whole Winter day knitting or crocheting with my grandma. We’d watch TV, talk and knit or sometimes we’d just sit quietly sharing that activity together. There’s something very relaxing about knitting, it makes you focus on the present moment and disconnect from everything else. I’ve read that it’s therapeutic in a way that some other handicraft skills aren’t.
My grandma is not with me any more but I feel that when I’m alone knitting, she’s still here with me and it’s a very comforting feeling.

I believe that indeed, it is therapeutic. A few years ago, when I was in the middle of the magister, I wanted to knit ... I looked for how to do it on Youtube and I found how to make scarves with looms ... I liked it a lot.
ResponderBorrarGood hobbies, I tried one time to knitting, but it was a mess. ¿do you have some article of clothing that you knitting?. You had a privilege of share this with your granda! I think that today this kind of hobbie (or handicraft) is less common than when we where childs, and very few are learning these skills
ResponderBorrarI've made lots of things; sweaters, hats, scarves, baby clothes, neck warmers. The two things that I've knitted and crochet that I'm happiest about are a sweater I made for my boyfriend and a sweater I crocheted for my mom as a birthday present this year.
Borrarvery skilfull, congrats! Do you use a special kind of wool? I remember that my mom made me hats when I was a child, but the wool makes me very itchy :(... and my wife like five years ago begging to make me a scarve that dosen't finish until the last year jaja
